Tantalum Products

EMI offer CNC milling and machining using an extensive range of materials including Tantalum Fabrication. Precision components are manufactured in Tantalum from our main central CNC milling and machining Hub offering faster, precise and high quality finished products.

Tantalum is a highly corrosion-resistant transition metal that is uncommon, hard, blue-gray, and glossy. It belongs to the refractory metals family, which are commonly employed as minor alloy components. Tantalum’s chemical inertness makes it a valuable material for laboratory equipment and as a platinum alternative.

Tantalum Lined Thermowells

The low reactive nature of Tantalum means it is perfect for protecting surfaces in highly reactive environments or when constantly exposed to certain chemicals or gases. It is notoriously difficult to work with for CNC and welding, so we have invested a lot of time and research into developing our services to be one of very few fabricators to work this very valuable metal.

Solid Dual Tipped Tantalum Device

This dual tipped device required the use of Tantalum to protect the prongs from a highly corrosive substance which causes steel and other materials to weaken and fail very quickly.
